Sunami, the only Grand Slam Champion ever in NWA Vendetta Pro Wrestling, appeared to be a bit disturbed at the fact that his SU/KA brother Kadin Anthony was being granted the opportunity to challenge Apostle Judah Mathew for the Vendetta Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship this Friday night at the Radisson Hotel Santa Maria at NWA Vendetta Pro Wrestling: Februtality 2017. He calls up his manager Jimmy Ray to... 'discuss' this development...
As one of the top Tag Championship titles in the world, the NWA International Tag Team Championship scene being thrown into flux has had far reaching results, which includes the top contenders as they are also among the top contenders to the NWA World Tag Team Championship. As such, although The Midnight Delight won a #1 Contenders Match at Reflexion, the titles being held up has essentially altered the rankings as well. Because of this, Billy Blade and Richie Slade will once again compete for the top contender's spot. This time however, their opponents are the former holders of the NWA Western States Tag Team Championship, The Classic Connection, who are looking to regain their position among the top teams in the world and reclaim the Tag Team titles here in NWA Vendetta Pro Wrestling.
Monday, February 13, 2017, National Wrestling Alliance Director of Operations James Beard announced that the NWA International Tag Team Championship will be held in escrow by the National Wrestling Alliance until a date in which The Ballard Brothers and Twisted Sisterz can have a “fair and equitable” match sanctioned for the titles.
Just days after it was announced that the NWA Western States Tag Team Championship had been elevated in stature to the NWA International Tag Team Championship, the Tri-Force Championship has also been officially granted International status, due to the fact that it is the only title defended exclusively in three-person matches in the history of the National Wrestling Alliance.
Although it had been referred to on this website and on Vendetta Pro’s Social Media by the nickname of the NWA “World” Tri-Force Championship, in truth, the Tri-Force title did not officially hold World title status. Now, it officially holds status as an International Championship.
2016 was an interesting year for Vendetta Pro Wrestling.
We had the invasion of an outside organization–consisting of Vendetta Pro originals–which threatened to destroy Vendetta Pro, yet in truth, actually helped propel both organizations.
We had the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship return to Las Vegas, as well as the NWA World Tag Team and–albeit in a non-title match–the NWA Women’s World Championship.
2016 saw a man–technically–win the Vendetta Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship twice in back-to-back events, as SoCal Crazy defeated Rik Luxury for the Interim title in January, and then end Little Cholo’s record title reign in February to become the Undisputed Vendetta Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion.
Holidead and Thunder Rosa walked into the legendary Korakuen Hall in Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan to compete at the Stardom Year End Climax as the NWA Western States Tag Team Champions. Their opponents were Momo Watanabe & HZK of Queen’s Quest.
Twisted Sisterz walked out of Korakuen Hall, still NWA Western States Tag Team Champions!
