The longest recorded single reign with any version of the Western States Heavyweight Championship was held by Larry Lane, who held the title recognized in the Amarillo territory for a recorded 531 days, from July 3, 1980 to August 20, 1981.

The key word there, “was”.

This last Friday night, November 3, 2017, “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury eclipsed that mark at 532 days, making him the longest reigning Western States Heavyweight Champion, of any version, of all time. Luxury has been a fighting champion during his reign, defending the title both in and outside of Vendetta Pro Wrestling, including Western States Wrestling in Arizona, Blue Collar Wrestling in Oregon, and Wrestling For Charity in Northern California.

Guess we know the answer when he asks the question, “Who is the man?”
