April Cruels Day

A TRUE WARRIOR DEPARTS

LOMPOC, CA (VP) – Vendetta Pro Wrestling returned to the Boys and Girls Club in Lompoc for April Cruel’s Day! This was the first of two events scheduled in the month of April for Vendetta Pro. On this night, former WCW and WWE Superstar Hurricane Helms put his Pro Wrestling International Heavyweight title on the line against Shannon Ballard. Also, a number of Vendetta Pro Superstars made their debuts as part of the main Vendetta Pro roster. But the most memorable moment of the evening was the announcement made by Vendetta Pro Wrestling Tri-Force Champion Dana Lee that he has enlisted in the United States Army! More on that to come. For now, here are the results from “April Cruel’s Day” from April 10, 2011:

Opening Match
Eric Cross
-vs.-
“The Modern-Day Midas”
Mario Banks

Mario Banks made his way to the ring, sharing some gold-wrapped candy with the children in the crowd, but it was the crafty Eric Cross who picked up the win in this opening match.

Winner by Pinfall:
Eric Cross

Six-Man Tag-Team Match
The team of
The Apostle
J.D. Horror
&
“Untouchable”
Ruben Iglesias
-vs.-
The team of
Clay Tawzer
Ricky Ruffin
&
“The Brad”
Bradlee Tyler

Four of the six men in this match made their debut as part of the main Vendetta Pro Wrestling roster in this match. The Apostle and J.D. Horror for their team, as well as Clay Tawzer and Bradlee Tyler all made their first appearance on a main show. The team of Clay Tawzer, Bradlee Tyler, and Ricky Ruffin picked up the victory when Tawzer Powerslammed Iglesias’ head into the mat for the 1-2-3.

Winners by Pinfall:
Clay Tawzer
Ricky Ruffin
&
Bradlee Tyler

Singles Match
“Nightmare”
Nathan Graves
-vs.-
Omega

Nathan Graves, one-half of E.G.O., took on the man they call Omega. These two are no strangers to each other, having battled for years in Northern California. This time, it was Nathan Graves who took the win, hitting a Cutter to pick up the win.

Winner by Pinfall:
Nathan Graves

Tag-Team Match
SU/KA
Sunami & Kadin Anthony
-vs.-
Dos Perfectos
Jimenez Y Hernandez

These two arch-rival teams went at it once again. Kadin Anthony had the pin on Greg Hernandez, when on the outside, Jesse Jimenez rang the bell, distracting both Anthony and the referee who had gotten to the count of two. While the official went to check out what had happened, ring announcer Joseph Duncan announced that the match was to continue. Hernandez rolled Anthony up from behind, and the official made the three-count. Dos Perfectos stole the victory, leaving Sunami and Kadin Anthony in the ring wondering how they lost the match.

Winners by Pinfall:
Dos Perfectos

After The Match
Ring Announcer Joseph Duncan informed an infuriated Sunami and Anthony that the bell was rung by Jimenez, then re-iterated this fact to the crowd.

Three-Way Match
Vendetta Pro Wrestling Tri-Force Championship
Dylan Drake
-vs.-
Jeckles The Jester
-vs.-
Vendetta Pro Tri-Force Champion
“The Katana Kid”
Dana Lee

This was one of the highlighted matches of the night. All competitors were pulling out high flying, technical, and submission maneuvers. Jeckles executed a Full Nelson Slam on to Drake, and then another on to the Champion, causing Lee to crash on top of a downed Drake! However, Jeckles was unable to secure a pinfall on either opponent. Drake applied his Bay-to-Breaker Sharpshooter on both Lee and Jeckles, and at one point, even had them both in the hold at the same time! Still, Lee and Jeckles refused to tap out. This match was filled with chops, suplexes, and karate kicks. In the end, Lee pinned Jeckles after he nailing a stiff back kick to the face of Jeckles.

Winner and STILL
Vendetta Pro Wrestling Tri-Force Champion:
Dana Lee

After The Match
Lee and Jeckles congratulated Dana on his successful title defense. The Locker Room emptied to the ring to congratulate Dana as well. Dana Lee, the Vendetta Pro Tri-Force Champion, announced that he had enlisted in the United States Army, and was leaving Vendetta Pro and Professional Wrestling. He then relinquished the championship belt, and wished the wrestlers the best of luck at winning the championship. The Office of the Commissioner of Vendetta Pro Wrestling has stated that while Dana Lee has relinquished the physical title belt, that he will continue to be recognized as the Vendetta Pro Wrestling Tri-Force titleholder until such time as a new Champion can be crowned. We at Vendetta Pro Wrestling wish Dana Lee well, and would like to thank Dana Lee for his decision to serve our great nation in the United States Army.

Open Challenge
“The Rock of Love”
Billy Blade

Billy Blade came out and issued an open challenge to any wrestler, “big or small”, in the locker room. Billy’s challenge was then answered, but from someone he never expected.
Ghetto Star came out, and said that he had the right guy for the challenge—a man who he managed eight years ago, who he helped to win the CWA Hardcore and APW Central Coast Heavyweight Championships: “Rude, Crude & Tattooed” Brawlin’ Bo Cooper!
Near the end of the match, the official was knocked out as Cooper was attempting to finish off Blade. While Cooper attempted to revive the official, Blade nailed Cooper with a Low Blow, and then brought a steel chair into the ring. Ghetto Star got on the ring apron just in time to pull the chair out of Billy’s hands, which gave Bo Cooper the opportunity to roll up Billy Blade for the win.

Winner by Pinfall:
Brawlin’ Bo Cooper

After The Match
J.D. Horror came into the ring and joined Blade in a post-match assault on Cooper. However, it was Cooper who managed to fight off the two. Cooper then nailed each one with the chair. The “Rude, Crude, and Tattooed” Bo Cooper issued a challenge to J.D. Horror, stating that he would take out Horror in any type of match.

Main Event
Pro Wrestling International Heavyweight Championship
Shannon Ballard
-vs.-
Pro Wrestling International Heavyweight Champion
Former WCW & WWE Superstar

Stand back! There’s a Hurricane comin’ through!
Whenever those words are heard, fans worldwide know who is about to come through the curtain.
