While we know that Shane & Shannon Ballard will be challenging for the NWA Western States Tag Team Championship (…or do we?) January 6, 2017 at Vendetta Pro’s “Reflexion” event at the “Radisson Square Garden” in Santa Maria, California, we don’t know for certain which team they will be facing.

This is because on December 22, 2016, the NWA Western States Tag Team Championship will be at stake as The Twisted Sisterz defend the titles against the team of HZK & Momo Watanabe at the Stardom Year End Climax event at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan!

Watanabe and HZK (pronounced Hazuki) are members of Io Shirai’s new “Queen’s Quest” faction. Shirai had competed earlier this year as part of the Casino Royale event at the Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion, and is in her second reign with the World of Stardom Championship. With a victory, Queen’s Quest can conquer both sides of the Pacific, but in order to do so, they must defeat a team that not only impressed in the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League, but also became the first women to hold the NWA Western States Tag titles.

Vendetta Pro Wrestling Commissioner Joseph Duncan, after having talks with officials from the National Wrestling Alliance, has stated–somewhat vaguely–that regardless of the result of the December 22 match in Japan and who will be defending the titles against The Ballard Brothers, that the January 6 match in Santa Maria has been altered irrevocably.

More details on this as we get them.
